Need workspace in a tiny room? This folding table mounts on the wall. Folds flat when not used. Build it in 2 hours with basic tools.

What You Need

  • Lumber (support beam)
  • 3/4-inch plywood (top, cut to size)
  • 13-inch 2×1-inch boards (legs, 2 pieces)
  • Piano hinge (60-inch long)
  • Door hinges (for legs)
  • Corner brackets (to lock legs)
  • Wall plugs, 3-inch screws, sandpaper (80/120 grit), wax polish

Easy Build Steps

  1. Drill holes in the wall. Insert plugs. Screw the lumber beam flat to the wall studs.
  2. Attach the piano hinge to the beam with screws.
  3. Lay plywood top over the hinge. Screw the other hinge side to the plywood bottom.
  4. Cut the legs to 13 inches. Add door hinges to leg sides.
  5. Hinge legs to plywood edges so they fold sideways under the desk.
  6. Install corner brackets to hold the legs out straight when open.
  7. Sand smooth (80 then 120 grit). Apply 2 coats of wax polish.
